VISAS AND PASSPORTS

Consider purchasing the Jordan Pass for a convenient and cost-effective travel experience in Jordan. This pass includes your tourist visa and entrance fees to most tourist sites, making it the most affordable and hassle-free way to explore the country.

To ensure a smooth process, we recommend purchasing the Jordan Pass online before your arrival in Jordan.

Please note that if you choose this option, you will need to stay in the country for at least 3 nights.

If you decide not to purchase the Jordan Pass, the fees for a basic tourist visa (non-Jordan Pass) are as follows: A single-entry visa, valid for 1 month, costs 40 JOD (approximately $56 USD).

Remember, it is important to have a passport that is valid for a minimum of 6 months upon your arrival in Jordan.

The Israeli state authorities are responsible for overseeing the entry and exit procedures for Israel/Palestine. Here is some important information you should be aware of:

For citizens from most Western countries, it is possible to obtain a visa upon arrival at various entry points such as Ben Gurion Airport, Eilat Airport, King Hussein/Allenby Bridge, Sheikh Hussein/Jordan River Crossing, or Wadi Araba/Yitzhak Rabin Crossing. However, if you require a visa in advance, you will need to initiate the application process at an Israeli Embassy, usually located in your home country. To determine if you are eligible for a visa upon arrival or if you need to apply in advance, please check here.

Visas obtained upon arrival are typically valid for a period of three months.

Please note that on certain occasions, Israel has denied entry to travelers of Arab ethnicity or Muslim religion, as well as individuals perceived as activists supporting Palestinian causes. If you fall into any of these categories, it is important to anticipate potential delays at the border and be prepared for extensive questioning.

Starting from January 2013, a fresh pilot initiative was introduced, replacing the traditional stamp with an entry card for visitors upon their arrival. This card comprises a scanned copy of your passport details, encompassing your name and entry date. It is crucial to retain this card alongside your passport until your departure, as it acts as evidence of your legal entry into Israel and may be demanded by the authorities.
